Emby website outage prevented LG App from functioning

Hi there,

 

During the Emby website outage my Emby LG App hung and I could not access any of my media. I assumed there was no online dependency for this product? Any insights to why the LG App was affected by the online outage?

After the theme came up I got the spiral circle indefinitely. No media came up on the home screen and could not navigate.
