Harbinger1080 3 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Something I've noticed is, when I'm using my phone with a Chromecast, the now playing background doesn't work properly. It very quickly changes back and forth between my normal wallpaper and the Now Playing artwork. The media controls in the notification work correctly. Other media applications just stay on the media background instead.

I have the same problem on two different devices (old Nexus 9 and new Nokia 8.1) during casting of media to a Chromecast device even with the latest beta version of the Android app 3.0.33. I also have a high CPU and power consumption of the Emby app during casting, but I'm unsure if this is related to this permanent switching between media background and normal wallpaper - but CPU seems to spike about every 1-2 seconds in a similar interval as the switching lockscreen background.

Batunga 6 Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Hi Luke, 3.0.34 fixed the lockscreen problem for me on both devices, thanks a lot . I need to check further whether (and how much) the CPU consumption also improved during casting of media, but at the first look it got at least better than before.
