computerprep 148 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 (edited) My Pixel 2 XL is unable to stream 2 consecutive files. I was about to post this in the Android Mobile forum, since it's affecting the app, but it's also freezing/crashing in Chrome for Android. After watching an episode of something, I'll scroll down, select the next episode, and press play. The player UI shows up overlayed onto the last frame streamed from the previous file, and the timer never leaves 0:00, nothing ever plays. Other buttons both in and out of the app stop responding, including the home button, volume buttons, back button, etc. I end up pressing a bunch of buttons until Android brings me to my homescreen. I force quit the app, clear the cache, re-open, and all is good. But it's every. Single. Time. Logs attached are from a couple nights ago when it happened on the app. It's happening on Chrome too, but I haven't extracted those logs yet. During the freeze/crash, the dashboard is transcoding or direct playing and shows the timecode as if the playback never broke. Haven't tested this on my wife's iOS device yet. Shortly before I noticed this problem, I had an Emby for Android update, but I've also had recent server updates, and upgraded my device to Android 9, so one or more of those may be interacting. Edit: This is not affecting my Roku device. Also, after this freezes my phone, once I force quit and refresh the app, if I don't go so far as to start playing the file I was trying to play, the server thinks it keeps playing and tracks my supposed position for resuming later. embyserver-63671535310.txt ffmpeg-transcode-2d308bca-b236-41ee-bd07-b9ff4477714f.txt ffmpeg-transcode-25be35c3-e803-4e9b-afd8-023a3b892f36.txt ffmpeg-transcode-a4a96990-e628-4c86-bdf9-576727c01f30.txt Edited September 4, 2018 by computerprep
Luke 42080 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 In my testing this seems to be OK, both in the app and in Chrome, but we'll investigate further. Thanks.
