mgranger 4 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Right now on the Android TV a notification comes up and blocks about 30% of the screen asking if you want to play the next episode or cancel with about 40 secs. it would be nice to be able to set this to something smaller like 10 seconds or 5 seconds or even allow the episode to end and wait some amount of time. Right now it blocks the actual episode and is just annoying. 4
WilhelmStroker 102 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 On Xbox the notification is transparent which makes a big difference. Customising the time would be good though.
ebr 16171 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Hi. There are a couple of things you can do here. 1) Pressing the "back" key on your remote will reduce the display to a very small version, pressing back again will dismiss it entirely 2) You can turn the option for showing this preview in the app settings off entirely so that it never comes up
mgranger 4 Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 1) Yes i guess i could just use the remote and i guess i am ok with that if it is just me watching it but when others are watching they don't always know that. (wife and kids) 2) I didn't see this option on the Sony Android TV but maybe I missed it.
unl0ck 1 Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 When will this feature come? For more than android tv ?

rbjtech 5284 Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 AndroidTV shows the 'Up Next' preview and includes the next episode name, the other apps just show 'next episode'. Functionally both do the same - but I believe AndroidTV also triggers on the CreditStart marker (if it exists), not sure if the other Apps do that .. yet ?

popy 71 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Sorry guys, but I don't get it. Intros detection is working well and also the skip button is shown precisely. Also the outro on series are most the same audio. The audio fingerprint detection would be nice to have for outros. Would this possible? Until/Maybe this happens, how can i set another time for the next up notification? Ex: on GoT it pop's up ~30 sec before the end. The credits starts on ~1:20. So you have to wait a minute or use skip forward. Thx

On the AndroidTV Client (and possibly other Clients, I'm not 100%), it will use this marker to bring up the 'next episode' prompt. To note, the original Introskip plugin had credit detection years ago and wrote these markers using a combo of black frame detection and audio fingerprinting for outro's, but unfortunately emby see this as too 'expensive' in terms of cpu/processing - but personally, I think that choice should be up to the user. Default it as off by all means, but give them the choice.

Can we use the original Introskip plugin in new emby versions to just detect credits automatically? thx
popy 71 Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 @rbjtechi have looked into ChapterAPI, when i get it right it's an replacement method for automated detecting intros and edit chapters for every episode manually. Because of the UI is not so pretty, it's really hard to batch set CreditsStart for multiple episodes at once. I dont want to do it manually for every episode. What would be really cool, but missing is also auto detecting CreditsStart Anyway, i think i have to wait for an automated feature, like the intro detection.
