tdiaz 3 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 I want to re-arrange content, move from "current" to "archive" library, how can I retain the watched status when doing this?
ebr 16187 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Hi. If the items are globally identifiable (with things like an IMDb ID) and were properly identified at the time of playback, then this status will survive any physical restructuring you may do.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 It is tracked by providerid (TMDB, IMDB), if media has no providerid then play status is lost.
tdiaz 3 Posted November 5, 2018 Author Posted November 5, 2018 When / Where does that ID get put into the file? That is, if it didn't already have it. So, if I have an episode at 720P and I've watched it. But I replace it later with one at 1080P, that may not have the ID embedded in it, if Emby scans/adds it, is it still "watched" or does that get saved elsewhere in Emby's database as well?
Luke 42083 Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Put into what file? it goes into the emby database, and local nfo files if you enable saving those.
