Trouble Forcing TV Series to Use TheMovieDB Instead of TVDB

So, I have the complete series of "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!", but it makes things a little difficult because it contains 3 season, when there were really only ever 2.  Later on in the late 70s when they has rebooted the show under a different name, I guess at some point they changed it back for 9 episodes and there are a total of 16 episodes that carry that name for a 3rd season.

TBDV obviously won't play this game, but TMDB does and has 3 seasons listed for the show.  However, no amount of identifying I do will get Emby to use TMDB and grab the metadata for the 3rd season.  From the artwork being grabbed, I can tell it's pulling that from TVDB.

I'd like to keep TVDB as the main option, but this is driving me nuts!

EDIT: OMG.  I just figured it out.  Didn't realize Emby had different options for each set of metadate (series, season, episode...).  I feel like an idiot, but I got it to work!

What was your method for setting the series/season/episode to use TMDB for 1 particular show/season/episode?

I add [tmdbid=XXX] to the Series folder, does that also work for the season and filename?

ie

show [tmdbid=xxx]/season 1 (year) [tmdbid=yyy]/show - s01e01 - name [tmdbid=zzz].mkv

would work?

It doesn't.

Put TMDB as top preferred scraper in your TV show library for shows/episodes (it already should be for seasons) and top preferred image fetcher, re-Identify desired show, lock the item afterwards, revert TVDB on top.

Not that easy as we do not have provider locks per providerid.  So if this is a continuing show Locking all metadata becomes an issue.  Provider order is always used even on you set different providerid per naming.

@Lukewe would need to be able to remove a specific provider from a item and lock it as empty/null so only existing provider will be used or a per show providerid selection.

Ultimately to only fetch from a single provider we need locks to exclude additional providers.

But at the same time believe will/could run into issues with externalid lookups per provider.   But did not test this theory.

So the only option I think of would-be fetcher options per show.  As there are cases where one will want TMDB for one show and TVDB for another.

example from another manager.

Unless this can be done with specific providerid in naming scheme if TMDBID is provided for the show utilize that as primary provider.  But should only apply to TV other types should honor provider order.
