Tranquil 94 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Hello Forum and Dev Team. Last week I updated my media Library with some new stuff and figured out, that my new media was not added on the "new items" screen of mediabrowser classic. These entries are also not listed on the web interface under "Movies - latest" and Folders "Movies" sort by "Date added, ascending". I'm able to find these items with the search box or via name in the list. All Items had a "date added" in their meta data. Now I tried something different: I set the "date added" date again manually on one of these items with a date of today. After I saving this, I was able to see this movie under my folder with the above mentioned sort order - as expected. Under tab "movies" and "latest", this movie is not being listed, why not? I would expect that I can see all latest added entries in these tabs or is there a different meaning of it?
ebr 16179 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 More than likely, we aren't seeing it as a movie.
Luke 42078 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Also check the date created timestamps of the movies
NicG 3 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 More than likely, we aren't seeing it as a movie. I have noticed this problem as well. I will attach the log of last movie I noticed. From dusk Till Dawn. After the scan I checked date added and it come up 01/01/1996. The movie came out in 1996 and also 1996 is in the Folder name something must be confusing the date added into not using today's current date. I also noticed it with Snow white and the seven dwarfs as the added date was 01/01/1937. Same goes with that (1937) is in folder name and file name plus its the year it was released. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7onvd27yovgmhjx/log.txt
NicG 3 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 After a few tests I have found that a year in Folder nor file-name have no barring on the date added. It must have something to do with the metadata being received. Any input would be appreciated. Thank You.
ebr 16179 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Are you using any other metadata programs? There is a tag in the xml that we will read.
NicG 3 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 hmmm O ok it seems that Filebot is changing the Created date also not just the file name . Didn't even think about that. Thanks. Ill try contacting them and see if they can fix that or if there is a fix for it.
NicG 3 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 OK yes my problem was with Filebot. By default it used the air-date or movie release date to change the created date for organization. There is setting in the config file to change this although if you use Filebot "Platform" Version it disables it by default. Not sure if this has any baring on Tranquil's problem as I don't know if he uses Filebot but thank you ebr for pointing me in the right direction.
ebr 16179 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Glad you got it figured out (was actually Luke who pointed you to the file dates though ).
