Permissions and external exfat HDD

Hey, having some trouble getting emby to recognize my video library on a drive with exfat. Due to the file system, I can't chown the folder. I am thinking maybe I need to run emby as the system user, how would I go about doing so?

Yes, uid and gid can be specified at mount time. No need to change the emby runtime user.

 

Add uid=<emby uid>,gid=<emby runtime gid> to the mount options.

 

Example in fstab:

/dev/sdc1 /media/emby/Library exfat defaults,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0
