Emby Plugin not syncing new episodes - movies work fine

In the past week I've added MANY new Movies and TV Episodes. The Emby Server sees them properly... BUT TV Episodes are not syncing to Kodi (movies work fine) when using the Emby Plugin (Emby repo version, not EmbyCon)

 

I waited a few days for to see if it would correct itself, it does not. I have tried changing skins to see if that was it (even tries the Emby repo skin) and that is not it.

 

Anyone know how to fix?  Thx for the help!

I believe this will fix your problem, I guess that you are using Kodi 18 Leia.

Enable sync empty tv shows. Then edit save the metadata for stuff that's missing to trigger an update event. This will be fixed with the next beta version of the add-on.

I hope I dont need to edit metadata for ALL the episodes missing?  Will the next beta rescan everything, and fix it, on its own?  Thx

You can do a manual sync, after enabling the setting instead of what I said.

 

Anyway, next beta will require a reset. Too many changes to fix underlying issues. Good news is that the sync time should be cut by close to half the time it used to be.

Next beta will require a reset unfortunately, so if you want to wait until then so you don't have to edit all episodes too (or you can do a manual sync now, but you'll still have to reset later). Too many changes to fix underlying issues. Good news is that the sync time should be cut by close to half the time it used to be.

Can they make sure the Watched status gets transferred into the new database?

Maybe I misunderstood. I thought you meant the next beta will wipe the database and start over... Thus the Watched status in Emby will be wiped?

What do you mean? If the watched status is on your Emby server, then it will be in Kodi as well.

Oh! No, nothing like that

 

I just meant, the kodi database will have to be reset, and resynced with Emby because there are too many database changes that I had to make in Kodi to fix longstanding issues.

For your original issue, I wasn't sure if you saw my reply:

 

You can do a manual sync, after enabling the setting instead of what I said previously, to get your tv show added without having to edit their metadata.
