Chuggy 3 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I'm having an issue where everything looks like it's working on the server interface, but I cant get anything to actually open. I'm testing on a Roku and on an IPhone. The video shows that it's being played (from the server PC) but nothing is happening on the client. I've attached my logs. I have a wired connection on my Roku. ffmpeg-0f434dfa-5c1f-4868-9bf0-06b426b71072.txt
Tikuf 663 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Can you try opening C:\ProgramData\VDsoftware\ServerWMC\config.xml and changing <Delay_WTV2TS_MS>200</Delay_WTV2TS_MS> to <Delay_WTV2TS_MS>500</Delay_WTV2TS_MS> Let me know how it goes
Chuggy 3 Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 That didnt seem to change anything. Here is my original log. server-63532415134.log
Luke 42078 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Can you report back once your server gets updated to the new version that went out tonight? Thanks.
Chuggy 3 Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 Updated the server and still not getting anything. Attached are the logs after the update. server-63532417605.log ffmpeg-9a8bfd40-a3a9-4092-b29b-4b0bfabb0a2d.txt
Luke 42078 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Ok. You might have to give a little more info about what you're seeing in each specific app, because those logs look fine to me.
Chuggy 3 Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 I'm currently testing on my roku and it sees everything, loads the file, determines the quality, and then simply stays on the loading screen. In this specific case it shows on the server side that the roku client is connected and playing a file; but it at 0 seconds. On the local computer if I log into the web client and select a show it says playing, but never actually plays. It hangs at 0. I may have to uninstall and reinstall. I had a few other programs go haywire after uninstalling McAfee.
Luke 42078 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 It sounds like the server performing the encoding task just fine but the stream is not reaching the client for some reason.
Chuggy 3 Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 I just found 1 file that is working fine. The only thing I can see different about it is that it doesn't say 5.1 for audio. Could the audio stream be the issue? It just dawned on me that I had also uninstalled the Shark codec pack a few days ago. Could that be the issue?
Chuggy 3 Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 I feel like this is most definitely either a codec or filter issue. I just reinstalled shark007 and followed a tutorial on setting it up for WMC and MB. this got things working until I did a restart and now nothing is working again. What are the recommended codecs/filters to set up for streaming? I'm contemplating a clean install of my htpc software as well as 8.1, but I figured I would double back here first.
Chuggy 3 Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Here is a little bit of detail on the files that are playing and the ones that are not: Working- H264 format, 1762 bitrate aac audio stereo Not working H264 format, 2502 Bitrate, AC3 audio, 5.1. I also cannot seem to stream HD tv to my roku. Any ideas?
