xyanivx 0 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Hello subtitles in Hebrew appear as squares in Android devices probably because of encoding or font. In the computer version and in kodi They appear in proper Hebrew. Is there a solution for Hebrew subtitles in Android devices? I'd be happy to get help with this. My main use is on Android devices Thank you very much in advance
Luke 42077 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Hi, can you show a screenshot of what they look like? Do they look correct in the emby web app?

xyanivx 0 Posted August 30, 2018 Author Posted August 30, 2018 I can not find the subtitle file in the storage of the Android device Menashe find the download path without success
ebr 16169 Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Hi. The subtitle file would not be on the Android device. It would be on your server or in your media library next to the media (depending on options). 1

xyanivx 0 Posted September 3, 2018 Author Posted September 3, 2018 hi is pleased to see that now it works thanks to the quick solution
Luke 42077 Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Really? I did not make any changes for this.
xyanivx 0 Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 Hi I thought so, but it seems that the issue has not been resolved. I opened the external player bsplyer and the subtitles looked right And after I went back to using the built-in player the subtitles looked normal but now they have not.they returned to being square It looks like the problem is in the player of the android emby app itself. I would be grateful for a solution I am currently using an external player but I do not have any possibilities in the built-in player such as forward or playback quality and more Thank you

Arik36 0 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Sorry, first time posting. I used to have the same problem but now the squares turned to gibberish. EMBY Server Version 3.5.2.0 installed on a windows 7 machine, EMBY for wmc is working fine and I absolutely love it but it's becoming obselite. I'm trying to use the EMBY for android (from play store) but i get gibberish. Same thing on my android tv box (Xiaomi mi box 3). EMBY for android latest version 3.0.16 Best regards,

Luke 42077 Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 What kind of subtitles? Are they internal or external?
Luke 42077 Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Try renaming the file to include the language as our wiki suggests: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Subtitles Then run a library scan. Thanks.
