Web Browser fmpeg failures

I had a user tell me tonight that they kept getting a black screen during some content. It would be playing fine then suddenly black screen.

 

This happens when trying to playback South Park S2E17 Gnomes in Chrome 68.0.3440.106 and you reach 19:24/22:03

It does not happen playing the same epp on the Android or Emby Theater apps. The file also plays fine outside of emby.

(This is the only epp I have actually tested but he told me its been happening for a decent number of them)

 

Server Version 3.5.2.0, Hardware acceleration has been disabled.

Avi is a container that tends to be more problematic than many others. You may want to consider using our convert feature to convert them to mp4.
