westmichigansc 0 Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Last night we had some storms go through. There was plenty of lightning. Power went out for a few seconds, and internet stopped working for a couple of hours. Reportedly one of the houses in the neighborhood got struck and had burnt outlets. I have not noticed any problems here at my house, except Emby does not work. I am just getting the infinite circle thing going around and around. The only thing that works is I can watch recorded TV. Live TV does not work on it, and none of the movies on my server work. The movies work fine through the hard drive, and I have moved the antenna connected directly to the TV and no problem. The internet is back working now most of the day and is fully functional. I have tried restarting the server several times, restarting the computer(including a windows update) and still no Emby. I checked the dashboard and it all seems normal. Do I need to fully uninstall the program and reset it all back up new? I am at a loss.
Luke 42085 Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Hi there, have you run any hardware diagnostics to check for hardware failures? You may want to do that. As for Emby Server, can you please attach the emby server log? You can learn how to do that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks.
westmichigansc 0 Posted August 28, 2018 Author Posted August 28, 2018 I got it. I re-added the HDHomerun tuner and hit save. Then it said there was a problem with the provider, so I refreshed guide data, then it worked. I'm not sure why this happened, but all is good.
Luke 42085 Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 It's possible your tuner ip address may have changed. Glad you figured it out. Thanks.
westmichigansc 0 Posted September 1, 2018 Author Posted September 1, 2018 OK. I'm not sure why but Emby is losing the tuner pretty regularly. I can open HDHomerun program and it is seeing the tuners. So I add the tuner back in dashboard and refresh the guide data. It will just work temporarily and lose the tuner again. What would be the reason this is happening?
westmichigansc 0 Posted September 1, 2018 Author Posted September 1, 2018 I deleted the tour and added it back on and it was the same. It is working again. I will keep my eye on it next time.
westmichigansc 0 Posted September 2, 2018 Author Posted September 2, 2018 Tonight trying to watch the Michigan Notre Dame game it will play then freeze after a few minutes. If you shut down Emby it will play again for a few minutes. Rinse and repeat. Something is not right.
Guest asrequested Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 (edited) Go to My HDHomreun and look at your firmware. Check if it's up to date. If not, update the firmware. Edited September 2, 2018 by Doofus
maegibbons 1287 Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Also please post your server logs when it happens again. Very difficult to comment without seeing the detail of the situation. Krs Mark
westmichigansc 0 Posted September 3, 2018 Author Posted September 3, 2018 OK. It has worked for the last day or so. I'll do that next time.
