WooAf 0 Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Ok so if I change the cover image of a media and add a new media into the library, the cover image that I have changed keep resetting to the default one from the metadata. Do I need to click on "Lock this item to prevent future changes" to make sure the cover don't change ? Is there a way I can change cover without getting them to be changed later when I scan library ? Thank you.
Solution Luke 42093 Posted August 25, 2018 Solution Posted August 25, 2018 Sounds like the one it keeps changing back to is in your media folder next to the video file, and that one is always going to get priority. 1

And if I press Scan all library it come back to the original cover.. Edit: Locking the item won't change anything, it keep changing to the original cover. Edited August 25, 2018 by WooAf

WooAf 0 Posted August 25, 2018 Author Posted August 25, 2018 Hi, please see my response in post #2. Thanks. You are right, I deleted the cover from the media folder and it works now, thank you !
ebr 16214 Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Okay, so you must NOT have the option to save metadata and images with the media selected? Otherwise, your change operation would have overwritten the file in the media folder too. But, if you don't have that option but DO have local metadata files, then you'll end up in the situation you were in.
