Emby Displaying IPv6 Address

I noticed a week or two ago that my server is showing the IPv6 address in the dashboard as well as in the server selection screen in the client.

I didn't care except Emby Theater was acting strangely for me the other day so I tried to connect via IP and I couldn't (I've never connected to a device via IPv6 before)

 

Is this a "Feature" ?  My other server still displays the IP address.  If it helps my main server with the IPv6 is Windows 10, and my other server is Windows 7

Are you experiencing a problem? it just means that when emby server queried your machine for network interfaces,all it found was ipv6. your ipv4 network interface was probably not up at the time.

Yes I do.  Hmmm, that didn't work the other day, but now it's connecting via IPv4

 

So if I restart Emby server it should display the IPv4, right?

Hi.  We can't answer that as it is your environment.

 

If you don't want IPv6 you can disable it at the network layer on your server.

But yes you can also try restarting emby server.
