PrivatePCP 0 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Anyone know why this happens? Tried to stream on both the desktop with the files on it and an android device, too. Restarting the server and the computer has done nothing. Thanks! EmbyLog.txt
Luke 42083 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Hi, was there an ffmpeg log generated? can you attach that as well? thanks.
george.smathers 1 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 I'm having the same issue. I'm attaching the server log. No ffmpeg log was generated. embyserver.txt
PrivatePCP 0 Posted August 23, 2018 Author Posted August 23, 2018 Thanks for the quick response, I think this is the ffmpeg log. ffmpegLog.txt
PrivatePCP 0 Posted August 23, 2018 Author Posted August 23, 2018 (edited) The libraries won't refresh either, if that's relevant Edited August 23, 2018 by PrivatePCP

Hi @@george.smathers, In your case, you denied remuxing/transcoding permissions for your emby user, so you're actually getting exactly what you asked for. There is a warning about this on the user edit screen that indicates this may cause playback failures. 1

maegibbons 1287 Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Thanks for the quick response, I think this is the ffmpeg log. Well it looks like ffmpeg just does not get started properly. IF scanning is broken your ffmpeg installation may be broken for some reason. Can you post a server log after you have run a scan? Can you try another file that needs transcoding - avi file types can cause issues. You could try re-installing emby from a fresh download which will reinstall ffmpeg. Krs Mark
wyldemusick 2 Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 I'm running into the same issue with some music files -- most of my library is FLAC. MP3 from a second server play fine. I'm also running into video issues, with sound coming up but no video. FFMpegLog.txt EmbyServerLog.txt
wyldemusick 2 Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Huh...video works fine on a couple of files. I need to poke more to see if the issue is with MKV.
wyldemusick 2 Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 (edited) Alright, this is getting more and more baffling...the music files that aren't playing are FLAC, and they're pretty much all my recent rips. These play just fine otherwise and, indeed, I had at least one of them playing fine via Emby. ffmpegtranscode.txt Edited August 27, 2018 by wyldemusick
wyldemusick 2 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Nothing?I'm getting weirdness in library scans, too, bt I'll need to be a bit more coherent there. Also, Emby is taking a long, long time to get anywhere on the Roku app, though this is inconsistent.
