Collections - Backup doesn't work

There is no way to back up collections.  If i copy the folder, then replace it with the new install, they are all broken.  Yes all file paths are the same in the xml files.  I have never gotten collections to work with any method other then creating new collection inside Emby Gui.  I had to reformat, and now have to recreate all my collections

Why do you feel that it doesn't work exactly?

because it doesn't work.  All collections are broken after folders are replaced.

yes, everything is exactly the same as it was before.  the filepaths are identical as well.

The library that contains the items that are within that "Back to the Future" collection.

I just went through the same thing:  had to do a clean install of windows and relied on the Backup Plugin to restore Emby Server configuration after a fresh install of Emby Server (and client) to windows 10.  The backup function mostly worked with the following exceptions:

1)  scheduled recordings were not restored

2)  collections were not restored

Correct, we haven't added these to the backup plugin yet, but it's planed for the future. Thanks.

The Scheduled Recordings are basically impossible to re-create, as Live TV recording really only functions based on the program being viewable in the upcoming two weeks of Schedules Direct guide which won't work for shows currently in the off season.  It is only TV, so the scale of the tragedy isn't that great.
