No sound with 5.1 files on mi box

Hi!

 

I set up my server in a docker container running on an Asus tinker board. The server is underpowered for transcoding, I know, but there should be no need to, because the h.265 files can be hardware encoded by my mi box.

 

Weirdly though, I have no sound when watching my videos. Only when I enable downsampling to 2.1 sound do I get sound. That makes the playback choppy or delayed by a few seconds, since the server can't keep up.

Playing the files locally on another player it works flawlessly.

 

Which settings should I look into to fix this?

Is it possible that it's DTS audio and you haven't updated Android on the box?

Also possible that their reported fix for DTS doesn't work.  Did anyone ever confirm DTS working properly on Mi with the update?
