Unable to get artist picture for some music artists

Hello,

 

 

   I have quite a few obscur artists in my music library and since I am trying to move to Emby for music as well I am trying to figure out why they do not have artists images.

 

- My music libray has both MusicBrainz and TheAudioDB enabled for metadata providers

- I was able to use the Identify option to match to the correct MusicBrainz ID

- TheAudioDB ID matches the MusicBrainz ID

- There is a picture on TheAudioDB for that artist (I uploaded it myself)

- In the artist metadata both IDs are correct

- The text metadata is retrieved

- There is not picture.  Even if I try to click on edit Images, then search, nothing comes up.

 

   I have added mulitple pictures and info on TheAudioDB for some of those artists and it works well for some, but not for others.  I have taken a look at the embyserver.log and I cannot see the queries to TheAudioDB or MusicBrainz.  Should I look elsewhere?  Is there a debug mode I have to enable?  I queried TheAudioDB using the API and the information is all there including the pictures.

   Here is a specific example: french singer Allan Theo.

 

Here a screenshot of my Music library:

As we can see there is no Artist picture.

 

If I click on the artist:

We can see metadata has been downloaded but no picture.  There are also the 2 links for MusicBrainz and TheAudioDB.

 

Here a screenshot of the MusicBrainz and TheAudioDB IDs:

Those are a match on TheAudioDB.

 

If I click the link to TheAudioDB:

There is a picture available.  (I uploaded it).

 

If I click on Edit images and then the magnifying glass to search:

The result is empty.  Clicking Refresh metadata and replace all images does not work either.

Hello,

 

  For some reason a bunch of artists that were not getting an image are now working this morning including the one from my example.  They did not refresh automtatically, I had to manually go in Edit Images and search but the images showed up.

 

  Did something change on the Emby backend?  Or was this simply due to TheAudioDB maybe taking a long time to make some images available to the API?  All those artists I had uploaded the images myself on Aug 16th.

There's no emby backend for audiodb. The backend is audiodb. Did something change on their end? It's possible but I'm not quite sure.
