Enable next video info during playback without Autoplay next episode?

Should it be possible to get the next video info display to pop up without auto-play turned on?

 

They're separate options under playback, but disabling auto-play seems to supersede next video info.

 

I'd like the ability to start the next episode without returning to the menu, but I often watch TV in bed and don't want it to keep playing if I fall asleep.

If nothing is queued, there is no "next" video.

 

The ability to see the next up episode info even if not queued has been requested before though.  It is a possibility for the future.
