Scott750 29 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 When playing movies in Chrome, all of my movies are experiencing this streaking that flashes across the screen over the movie for a split second every 5 - 15 seconds. This started happening after the 3.5.2.0 update. Movies played in Emby Theater don't have this issue. embyserver.txt
Luke 42083 Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 Hi, was there an ffmpeg log? Can you please attach that as well? thanks !
Scott750 29 Posted August 14, 2018 Author Posted August 14, 2018 Hi @@Luke, here are the ffmpeg logs that were created. ffmpeg-transcode-1a1f9e3c-965d-48eb-aff2-52f361dd3bb4.txt ffmpeg-transcode-875ab5b7-4108-40e4-a496-6c661859b172.txt ffmpeg-remux-57e144a9-a06d-437c-a8ad-600592951f54.txt
Luke 42083 Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 Is this only happening with interlaced content?
Scott750 29 Posted August 14, 2018 Author Posted August 14, 2018 I'm not sure. I was playing mkv Blu-ray rips. I can test with an mkv DVD rip to check?
Scott750 29 Posted August 22, 2018 Author Posted August 22, 2018 I played several DVD mkv movies and did not see the streaking. Seems to only be isolated to my Blu-ray mkv's.
Luke 42083 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Have you tried lowering the in-app quality setting? You may also want to look at chrome settings in regards to hardware acceleration during video playback.
Scott750 29 Posted August 23, 2018 Author Posted August 23, 2018 Lowering video quality from Auto-1080p 60Mbps to 1080p-20 Mbps does play without streaking. Does this mean my network can't handle that amount of bandwidth? My HTPC is running wired gigabit networking . Although it's connected to a 5 port gigabit switch before going to the router.
