outlaw69uk 7 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Hey guys Ok, unsure if this is due to the last update , and I am sure someone will know the answer off the top of their head I used to have my media organised in such a way, like (as an example) Marvel Universe>Films Marvel Universe>TV Shows THat was the folder structure. I (from memory) set up a library in emby called Marvel Universe, then, added the 2 folders When I went in to the player, and clicked marvel universe, it had 2 folders/icons, one for Movies, one for TV Shows, and, when you went in to them, boom, everything was fine Now I have set this back up, its taking me straight into a folder/menu with TV and movies combined, I kinda prefer the separation really haha, is this something I have done, or, is it a new restriction as such Would the 2 folders being on different drives have anything to do with it?
Luke 42087 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Hi, can you show us how you have your libraries configured in emby library setup? Thanks.
outlaw69uk 7 Posted August 10, 2018 Author Posted August 10, 2018 Hi, can you show us how you have your libraries configured in emby library setup? Thanks. Hi Luke, attached a couple of pics, one from settings, and, one how it displays in the library/browser/player. This is how I had them set previously, but, something seems to have changed, probably something obvious I havent done
outlaw69uk 7 Posted August 10, 2018 Author Posted August 10, 2018 Sorry, did that wrong, this is how it appears in library
Luke 42087 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 You set them up as a single library so that's why you're getting what you're seeing. If you want two separate libraries then you should make two libraries in Emby library setup. To learn more, please check out our wiki on library setup: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Library%20Setup Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !

But, previously, when I went into it, there were 2 Folders/Icons showing, one said Movies, one said TV, and, they took me into the relevant media type. Does that make sense? Much like how collections work, instead of the view above, I had 1 for each media type, like there was an extra step in there?
Luke 42087 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 I'm not quite sure, but we've been guilty in the past of offering too many ways of doing the same thing. Your solution is simple to give you what you want, just make two libraries. 1

Think simplest way of putting it, I had 2 sub libraries previously, not sure how I got there! Thats what I want back haha 2 makes my screen too busy, like Horror - Films Horror - TV Shows When I want Horror Click into it, and have Films TV Shows I am going to guess it was something that happened before on a previous version, like it recognised the root folder, and the 2 inside with different content, but, then now it doesnt
Oracle 85 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Oi! Make a Mixed Content library type, that should fix your problem after a little bit of toying.
