Change user playback settings from Admin

I guess this is a feature request unless there's a way to do it that I'm not aware of: I noticed that under Devices, the only thing I can change - as Admin - is the name of the Device. It would be nice to change the user settings there as well (playback bandwidth, subtitles, screen layout, etc.) as most of my users are somewhat, um, tech-challenged and even simple instructions like "click the little person icon in the upper right" leave them baffled.

 

I understand this might be impossible for external players, but for playback in Emby web app - especially for things like transcoding/playback settings - it would be nice to be able to "push" these settings to the user rather than having to have them do it manually for each device and each browser on each device that they use since, even if they get the settings right once, the moment they decide to switch to a new browser or purchase a new device, they have to go through the process all over again.

Hi.  You can do this in the "Users" area of the server dashboard.

 

When looking at a user click "Edit this user's profile, image and personal preferences".

That section doesn't have the subtitle section of the browser. And, unless I'm misunderstanding, it won't change a user's playback setting away from "Auto" like a user can in the browser, just limit it, right?

Okay, those aren't user settings they are app settings (not device related either).  There is no way to access app settings other than running the app in question.  Sorry.
