Android TV Genre Sorting

Hello,

I hope I'm not posting this in the wrong section but one thing I've noticed that would be AWESOME to have in the Android TV app is filtering out movies/TV shows by genre and sorting them by name, date released, etc.

For me I was on my Shield TV and looking for comedies so I went to the genre tab in movies. Great tab for finding random movies in specific genres, HOWEVER, I was specifically looking for comedies released in the past year or so and I realized that this is currently not possible to sort by latest release date AND filter by a specific Genre.

It's something that I miss when using Emby for Android TV over Plex. Anyways, that's my 2 cents feature request. You guys are great! I love Emby!

 

Edit: this is possible in Mobile and on PC. Just not in the Android TV app.
