vaise 340 Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Not sure exactly what to put in the title for this. We use tvheadend, and let it record to show folders, so the show name has a folder and all the content is 'Show Name - Date', so there could be (and often is) multiple shows iin the same folder. We dont use the tvheadnd plugin as we have had a few issues with it so we just have a library view over the recordings folder. So... sometime recently the wife told me that when she clicks on a show to watch that has multiple 'episodes' she is asked which one to play. 'Thats new' she said, and 'fine', she said, but when she watched one episode, then deleted it - all the episodes were deleted..... 'Not so fine' she said (well, she did not say it nicely like that!). so - firstly, when did this 'versioning' come to play here ? I recently added a dash and spaces after the show name and before the date - did I therefore introduce this ? Is this being confused due to the episide naming we have (an easy fix as I can rename and do a lib scan, then fix the tvh standards). Or is this now normal behavior, but a bug in the delete all ? I have a screenshot from the web client, but I cant show the drop down as it flips back before I can copy.
vaise 340 Posted August 8, 2018 Author Posted August 8, 2018 Did not get any replies, so im posting the answer in case it helps anyone else. Emby see's the '-' and thinks it is a version of the file, so I changed all the dashes to periods and now they all show as separate tv shows again. 1
Solution Luke 42083 Posted August 9, 2018 Solution Posted August 9, 2018 Thanks for the feedback. Yes it sounds like it was named according to our multi-version guidelines and so that's why they were grouped. 1
