ROKU app closes

I have some videos that when I try to play them the screen will flash a few times and then the application will close. This is for the current 1.17.2 version of the app. I have the original ROKU and the ROKU 3 and both boxes react the same way when launching. I have tried all network speed settings in the setup and no change. On the ROKU 3 I have tried it both wired and wireless and there is no difference in the way it acts. Not sure what other info I need to provide.

Also, when I start the app the loading screen is all distorted. I'll try to get a picture of it next time I start it up but I am off to see a pre-screening of Captain America now.

Ok. I will do this when I get off work tonight. I didn't have the debug checked in the server setup.

Thanks for the reply

Ok this may be related to a server bug. Try hitting force refresh from the web dash editor see if it fixes the issue.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you want me to go to the movie using the web interface and refresh the data? I've tried refreshing the data a few times and it still isn't working. I also have Mediabrowser ++ and it plays the movies ok.

Well back to your server log there is no playback attempt in that log at all. so i have nothing to work with.

Or does it not get that far?

If it crashes which page does it die on?

Also what level do you have your server update set at?

When I go to the web interface and refresh the data the movie now plays. How can I make it refresh all the movies?

My server level is set to beta

Ya hopefully we can get a fix into the next server re the refresh issue.

I don't know if the cause is the same, but I have had this issue once. Deleting all the metadata files downloaded by MB3 and letting it re-download fixed it, at least in my case.
