UPnP Error when trying to Chromecast from Windows

Hi,

I am using the emby server and desktop interface to cast to a Sony XBR 900E TV. It was working great for a week or so, but when I went to cast today - no media would load on the TV. I had this issue previously, but after waiting/clicking play on the media again, it would work. I took a look at the logs and found the following errors: Both the TV and my computer are connnected via Ethernet to the same router.

2018-08-03 20:20:32.916 Error HttpClient: <?xml version="1.0"?><s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><s:Body><s:Fault><faultcode>s:Client</faultcode><faultstring>UPnPError</faultstring><detail><UPnPError xmlns="urn:schemas-upnp-org:control-1-0"><errorCode>701</errorCode><errorDescription>Action Play failed
</errorDescription></UPnPError></detail></s:Fault></s:Body></s:Envelope>

Attached is the full log file as well.

Derp - not sure what happened. Reattaching now

EDIT: man, I'm slow this morning. I see why it failed :D

So it has to transcode due to unsupported subtitles. Maybe the TV is rejecting it because it doesn't like the transcoding format that we're sending it.

As a test, can you try something that will direct play, like a plain mp4? See how that compares. Thanks !

Will test when I am home later tonight - I did actually find a workaround to watch the movie last night. I installed the Android TV app and that had no issue doing a direct play (although, subs were not working now that I think about it). Seems like the subs embedded in the movies I'm watching aren't supported via Chromecast through Plex, VLC or any cast app so I'll just soldier on!
