Musical troubles with dodgy wifi

I was playing music at work, lost internet connection (still connected to wifi, just no internet access on it) and the app failed to load the next song ofc, just sitting in the player with the loading wheel doing its thing.

I reconnected to the internet, closed the app by removing it from recent apps, then re-opened it. I was met with a blank dark grey screen and nothing else. Force stop in android settings to fix.
