CoverArt collection disc images not appearing

I have confirmed that the individual movies all have the 'disc' artwork downloaded, but none of them are showing up in collection view, I saw in another thread that simply refreshing the metadata for the movies in question resolved their issue, this is not the case for me. Please advise.

You would need to do a refresh on the collection replacing all images.  Did you try that?

Will try now

It's not working, collection > replace all metadata (replace existing images checked) isn't giving me any disc artwork

To be honest i don't think the cover art caching mechanism is going to be able to account for adding the disc images after the collection has been created.

What you could try to do as a test is create  a new collection with titles that already have the discs.

Can I un-create the collections and then try to rebuild them ??

You could try that but they may end up with the same collection id and thus end up using cache files that are already there. That's why I suggested a brand new one as a test.

On a side note, I do have 1 or 2 disc images showing up now, it seems totally random. I have tried refreshing collections, the individual titles in those collections, using all of the different refresh options and what I have to show for it right now is 2 disc images that actually made it where it needs to be.

Right well, caches will gradually expire and then you'll start to see the disc images. So you can also just wait and let it correct itself gradually.

Alright stupid question, how do I make a test collection.

So Luke, to the best of your knowledge, if I refresh each boxset choosing 'replace metadata' (with replace existing images checked) all I would have to do is wait for Emby cache to start displaying the discs properly ? Any idea how long that will take ?

I don't even think you have to refresh it. This is tricky because the server images cache folder will last up to 30 days, but the apps also have their own in-app caches. You can try deleting the server's cache/images folder to try and speed up the recreation process.

Delete the folder or the content INSIDE the folder ? Also, if I choose to do this, I imagine I will lose all my media images, what is the process to get everything back ? I imagine it will take a long time to fetch everything over again ?

You can delete the whole folder. You wont' lose anything, although your apps might appear to run a little slower while the cache builds back up again.

So this happens automatically, nothing I need to do but delete the cache folder.
