Emby creates double metadata and images

Hi,

Since last week my Emby started creating double thumbnails and metadata information for my movies. They are saved into folders and usually, it would only put the metadata into that folder. But now he creates metadata and images also outside the folders. Anyone has this problem and found a solution?

 

I've tried to delete the images outside the folders and refresh the metadata, but it keeps recreating it.

 

Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi, thank you for your reply. Here are some screenshots:

 

As you can see several movies have a double thumb. One plays and the other one is just a thumb without media attached to it.

 

If I go into Windows Explorer you can see that I have the movies saved into folders. Each folder contains the movie file, metadata, and images:

 

What Emby does is now creating metadata also outside the folder:

 

I'm not sure what changed here, as it didn't do it before.

if you use the metadata editor on both of the two abyss entries, what paths do they point to?

The second one point to: G:\Movies\._The Abyss (1989).mp4
