greatwhite13 0 Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I have been using the the Emby app on my two Sony Bravia TV's since last year. It had been working correctly up until earlier this month. Now on both TV's when the app tries to connect to my server the apps will attempt to load the server and then crash. The server is working correctly through the app on my phone as well as on other devices (PCs, and android tablets). The problem started at the same time on both TV's. Neither tv is having any other issues with other apps. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on both devices, cleared the cache, and completely factory reset the TV none of which solved the problem. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what can be done to remedy this situation. Thanks for your help.
Luke 42078 Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Hi there, can you please attach the emby server log? You can learn how to do that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks !
ebr 16182 Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Also please explain exactly what you are doing and what happens when it "attempts to load the server and crashes". Thanks.
greatwhite13 0 Posted July 31, 2018 Author Posted July 31, 2018 Hi, Thanks for responding so quickly. I have attached the server log. The application will attempt to load the server after signing in with emby connect. The website will indicate that the pin is accepted and the app will go to a spinning loading circle and then freeze and eventually close. This happens every time I try to sign in via connect. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the app again and attempted to sign in via entering the server information manually. Once the information was entered it would attempt to load and the same freeze and crash would occur. I was able to send an app log as well after attempting to connect with the server manually. It was sent at 1:12 PM CDT. The user name that was signed in on the Emby server is Greatwhite13. Hopefully those details might get you the information you need. Let me know if anything else would be helpful. Thanks. Brian EMBY Server Log 105.txt
ebr 16182 Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 It looks like someone is simultaneously using the DLNA client on the same TV... Either that or two devices have the same IP address. Unfortunately, I did not receive your app log (which may also point to a network issue).
