heula 192 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Because of fetching wrong metadata and images of a lot of items in my music collection I have turned off fetching metadata and images for all music options. There is one folder in my collection that has been renamed from 80's to m-80's and I am not able to get this back like I want. If I change m-80's to 80's in the webclient and hit save it says that the changes have been saved but nothing has changed when I look again. I don't know why this is but I can change the overview and that is saved but not the name and sort name. What can I do to change this because I don't see any xml files generated in my music folders while I have turned on that all metadata must be stored in the media folders.
heula 192 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 maybe you turned off too much. review or post your metadata settings. Turned on or turned off, that itme won's save the name changes.
heula 192 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Turning off saving xml means changing the name will work, but if you have xml in the directory already, then the save will only last until the next refresh. The next time it reads the xml, your edits will be lost. So you either have to allow us to save xml, or remove the existing xml files. Turned on to save the xml file and let it generate an xml file. Still no luck changing it. But manually changing the text in the xml file worked. After that unchecked all again. So this is solved now.
