nobanzai 0 Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 When installing emby-server up to 3.5.2 one gets this message: Output of emby-server-rpm_3.5.2.0_x86_64.rpm %posttrans script: usermod: no changes chmod: cannot access '/var/lib/emby': No such file or directory chown: cannot access '/var/lib/emby': No such file or directory The reason is, that /etc/emby-server.conf contains EMBY_DATA=/var/lib/emby but the RPM does not create it before trying to chmod/chown it.
Luke 42078 Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Going forward we are creating the directory if it doesn't exist now. This problem only affected users who already had an emby user but with its home directory somewhere other than /var/lib/emby. New users weren't affected.
