griffindodd 18 Posted October 16, 2018 Author Posted October 16, 2018 The first thing I would go is go on the advanced page of the server and blank out the internet streaming limit, and then click save. That will rule that out. After that, there really should be no problem. Remember: "Auto - 1mbps" - this means your client app setting is on Auto, and that 1.5 is the value that was chosen by Auto. It's not a lock. You can always click on that and choose another value. Manually deleting that setting in the XML worked, I can now change the streaming quality at the client in the web player on chrome and the app on my Android phone!!!! NICE! 1
Luke 42078 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Thanks. We are probably just offering too many settings here.
griffindodd 18 Posted October 16, 2018 Author Posted October 16, 2018 Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Manually deleting that setting in the XML worked, I can now change the streaming quality at the client in the web player on chrome and the app on my Android phone!!!! NICE! Glad it worked out. Your setting "<RemoteClientBitrateLimit>25000000</RemoteClientBitrateLimit>" was 25mb, so something was stuck somewhere.
Luke 42078 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 You could also have done it in the UI on the advanced page.
griffindodd 18 Posted October 16, 2018 Author Posted October 16, 2018 (edited) You could also have done it in the UI on the advanced page. I did, it was originally blank, I changed it to 25mbps but in both instances it didn't solve the problem, only after altering the XML manually did it fix this issue. I agree that this makes no sense at all, but after working as a network admin for over a decade I've seen weirder things happen than hitting it with a hammer to get something working again lol. Either way, it's fixed now. Edited October 16, 2018 by griffindodd 1
