Mostly a tunning question about chunking mp4 files

Hello,

 

Posting here because I am using emby on CentOS server.

My emby installation is aimed at train passengers who generally have journeys of about 35'. I am also using a webcache for my poc who sits in front of emby to be able to serve a maximum of mp4 files from this cache instead of overloading the embedded emby webserver.

Should i split my mp4 files at ~ 35' and so on to have the webcache only load that part instead of loading the full movie or is the html5 player doing the correct thing via Accept-Ranges ?

Hi, The HTML player supports ranges so you shouldn't have to worry about it.
