Music Playlist Issues

Hi,

 

I've noticed a few problems with the Music playlists:

 

• The playlist home screen section doesn't appear for a user until they create a new playlist
• The playlist primary image is the default image even though I've changed this in the metadata manager, this means I have to go into each user to update to the correct image.
• If I create a playlist then go to a new user and create a different playlist for that user then they have access to my playlist. I'm happy to have global playlists as this is very handy however I would like there to be an option to either make the playlist private (only accessible to that user) or global accessible to every user. Also if there is a global playlist (how it is currently) then all users should be able to see that playlist rather than having to create a playlist first before being able to see it.

Why is the first one an issue? If we have it always though then we'll just have to deal with users complaining about an empty section.

That's fine if there's not meant to be global playlists. It would be good to have that as an option if that is a bug which it appears to be

I mean the bug that other users can see and edit playlists of other users. If that wasn't a bug then all users should have the playlists section on their homescreen since as soon as they add a playlist then they have access to other playlists, therefore they should of had the playlist section available to them anyway. However it has been stated that this scenario is a bug and they shouldn't have access to other users playlists in which case I'm happy that there shouldn't be a playlist section on the homescreen until that user makes one.

 

However i do really like the idea of global and user playlists, once the bug is fixed I would really like the option for global playlists (or at least pick users to share them with)

 

There is the bug of the playlist homescreen image not being taken from the metadata manager image.

Ok yes, user editing and sharing of playlists is something that certainly needs an overhaul in the future. I thought you were commenting on your first bullet point. Thanks.

that would be good to get an overhaul so sharing can be done, ignore the first bullet point in that case.

 

For the second bullet point please see attached images of what i mean, it's not pulling the primary image from the metadata manager when a user creates a playlist for the first time so the image is not consistent. 

 

For the third bullet point, when are we likely to see a fix for users seeing playlists from other users.
