When i go to play a show it starts to load then goes back to the desription page for the show. my log shows the following 2014-04-03 11:41:55.1896 Error - HttpResultFactory: Error streaming media The specified network name is no longer available System.Net.HttpListenerException at System.Net.HttpResponseStream.EndWrite(IAsyncResult asyncResult) at System.IO.Stream.<BeginEndWriteAsync>b__17(Stream stream, IAsyncResult asyncResult) at System.Threading.Tasks.TaskFactory`1.FromAsyncTrimPromise`1.Complete(TInstance thisRef, Func`3 endMethod, IAsyncResult asyncResult, Boolean requiresSynchronization) --- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown --- at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.ThrowForNonSuccess(Task task) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotification(Task task) at System.IO.Stream.<CopyToAsyncInternal>d__2.MoveNext() --- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown --- at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.ThrowForNonSuccess(Task task) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotification(Task task) at MediaBrowser.Server.Implementations.HttpServer.StreamWriter.<WriteToAsync>d__0.MoveNext() The server is running Windows Server 2012 Essentials and worked fine until yesterday. server-63532121185.log Edited April 3, 2014 by williamray507
FrostByte 5392 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I've had similar problems and a quick power cycle of my Roku 3 helped. May want to try that.

On a side note, i have music videos on the server and those seem to play fine. It looks like just TV and Movies.
gcw07 347 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Can you show us some information about the video itself? All the media information that is available on the details screen of the web client.

gcw07 347 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 How big is the file? Can you upload it to dropbox or something so we could test it? I'm guessing it is something to do with the file itself, but without testing not sure.

I can upload it but thats just one that wont play, 90% or more wont play now, including ones that were playing fine 2 days ago.
Luke 42077 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Please post complete logs. http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/790-how-to-report-a-problem/
williamray507 1 Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 Also does it playback on the web client? Yes it does play on the web client, just seems to be the roku's.
homeSlice 0 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 (edited) I'm having the same issue all of the sudden. Only a select few of the titles in my library will play. Most titles I select to play just take me back to the Roku channel homepage. I'm going to try and reset everything. Edited April 6, 2014 by homeSlice
cskyrme 0 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I have also been experiencing what sounds like the same issue. After selecting a item to be played, the media browser channel closes/is shut down. It only happens for some shows, and all those shows have worked fine with other clients. If I go to the metadata editor using the web client, and refresh the metadata, then all works for on the roku. This seems to have happened around the same time as upgrading to the 1.7.2 version of the roku channel, but i can't say for sure.
Tikuf 663 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 It is most likely that it is caused by the item not having media info (there are a few threads about this already) and we are working on it
Luke 42077 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 the solution is to refresh the item using the web interface
FrostByte 5392 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Ya, I get that a lot when I copy new movies/shows to a folder. Seems like MB is creating the xml before the entire file is copied and thus can't get all the info. If you click on "media info" in the web client and info is missing then the Roku app will kick you out. Refreshing like Luke says, or once I've even had to delete the xml and then refreshing fixes it for me.
Tikuf 663 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Pretty sure we have this fixed now the beta will be out in a day or so could you guys please test it to make sure we fixed the problem 1
