Direct Play over LAN constantly buffering all of a sudden (on all devices)

As the title suggests, just starting today (that I've noticed) I'm unable to play any media on any of my devices (aside from my server PC that contains all of my media files) without buffering every 2-5 seconds or so. I haven't had any issues with this in the past, aside from the odd random quick buffering which lasts about 1 second or so maybe once a month.

I first noticed it on my Samsung TV, but after testing other devices, it seems network-wide. As I stated earlier, this issue just popped up tonight, making media playback impossible. The TV I use most aside from my server machine is the one running the Samsung client, so this is where I focused my efforts.

For the past few years or so I've had the bitrate set to 60mb with no issues, but tonight the only way I was able to get stable playback was by lowering it to 0.5mb, which is obviously undesirable, but at least it let me know that playback was possible; I'm just not sure what could be causing the issue.

My Windows server is up to date, as well as my Samsung client (I believe it's 2.2.4, which is the latest version available for my particular TV model).

I've closed any programs running on my server that could be eating up bandwidth, but that doesn't seem to help either.

Any ideas what could be causing the sudden sluggish performance? I'd rather not have to resort to watching videos at such a low bitrate, since I haven't had any issues with the default settings up until now. Also, I've checked the logs in the Samsung client, and nothing stands out; everything goes through fine until it says buffering, but there are no errors or anything of the sorts.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I would start with rebooting all of your equipment. PC, router, clients everything.

There should also be a method to reboot the TV. Try holding down the power button on the remote for 15-30 seconds, Google if that doesn't work.

Also attach a server log.

Thanks, I'll give that a try after work tomorrow. Too late to watch tv now anyway lol.

What version of Emby Server?

I'm not at home right now, but when I looked last night the server dashboard said it was up to date; I believe 3.4.0 or similar.

Try updating to the latest version. Thanks.

3.5.2.0 has just been released.  Try that first as it has a number of fixes and report back.
