User Theme Changes Per Device

Hi,

 

When you select a theme under display settings that setting is not respected per device. When I log onto a new device it reverts to the default theme (Dark).

 

Also there still seems to be quite a few elements that don't change per theme e.g. the playback bar. I can make a list of these if you like.

Hi, yes it's by design for per device. You may want a different theme depending on lots of different factors - screen size, lighting conditions, etc.

Is it possible to make it a global setting to turn per device theme off and on. I don't want to have to change theme everytime I log into a new device. It also makes it pointless setting the theme for new users as different from the default.

instead of turning that per device feature on or off can we have a forced theme for all users that is set in the dashboard? (also removing the ability for users to set their own theme). That saves me having to apply custom CSS that may break with future updates.

I like the idea of that, but we can't do that until they are supported universally by all apps. Otherwise it will just be non-stop reports of "not working". Thanks.
