tdiguy 99 Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 I am on 3.5.1 server and 1.6.0 on the clients. It might be happening with more movies but 2 movies i have give me an odd issue. For 101 dalmations 2 I cant play this movie unless i have the client use downmix to stereo. Media info is: VideoTitleSD H264CodecH264Codec tagavc1AVCYesProfileBaselineLevel30Resolution640x360Aspect ratio16:9AnamorphicNoInterlacedNoFramerate29.97003Bitrate1200 kbpsBit depth8 bitPixel formatyuv420pRef frames1NAL4AudioTitleUnd AAC 4.0 DefaultLanguageundCodecAACCodec tagmp4aProfileLCLayout4.0Channels4 chBitrate127 kbpsSample rate44100 HzDefaultYesContainermp4 For the movie Lion King the audio crackles and is pretty lousy if i leave it on downmix to stereo. It sounds just fine if i put it on auto. media info: VideoTitle480P H264CodecH264Codec tagavc1AVCYesProfileBaselineLevel30Resolution720x404Aspect ratio16:9AnamorphicNoInterlacedNoFramerate29.97003Bitrate2494 kbpsBit depth8 bitPixel formatyuv420pRef frames1NAL4AudioTitleUnd AAC stereo DefaultLanguageundCodecAACCodec tagmp4aProfileLCLayoutstereoChannels2 chBitrate127 kbpsSample rate44100 HzDefaultYesContainermp4 This is just going through the tv speakers which is set to have surround sound not sure how since it has just the tv speakers. Is there anything i can do so they both work properly without fiddling with the options each time i play 1?
tdiguy 99 Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 Well for the lion king i was able to correct the sound quality by turning surround sound off on the tv. So now the emby client is just set to downmix to stereo. Seems weird though that if i leave it set to auto that it cant play 101 dalmations 2.
Luke 42078 Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 We'll need to investigate why it can't play. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
tdiguy 99 Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 Ok, i will try to get some time with the tv wednesday and see if i can reliably re-create the issue. I hope something shows in the logs but i am not sure anything will. It acts as if it is playing but there is no audio or video when this happens.
Luke 42078 Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Thanks. Once you've done that then we'll see what @@ebr thinks. Thanks !
tdiguy 99 Posted August 2, 2018 Author Posted August 2, 2018 Ok, i finally was able to play with it a bit. If i set audio to auto on emby client and i go to play 101 dalmations2 not only does it not play it claims it cant reach my server. To correct i force closed the emby app then went into the emby app again. Switched to downmix to stereo and i can play 101 dalmations 2 without issue. I started this test at 9:34. Uploading the log and sending via client. LOG.txt
tdiguy 99 Posted August 3, 2018 Author Posted August 3, 2018 So, any idea what is happening on this? I am not too worried about it since there is a easy work around and i dont care much if its stereo or anything else.

ebr 16178 Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 The one odd thing that stands out about that track is that it is 4-channel AAC. I'm not really sure which 4 channels it is...
