Spames 2 Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 I'm running debian and upgraded as directed. Emby doesn't work at all now, I see others posting similar issues, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer on how to recover from this.
Luke 42077 Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Hi there, can you please describe what your issue is? Thanks !
Spames 2 Posted July 25, 2018 Author Posted July 25, 2018 I upgraded emby to 3.5.1, rebooted, emby-server wasn't working. So, I tried the beta 3.6.0.2 - rebooted, still nothing. When I visit http://localhost:8096 it says "Emby Server is loading. Please try again shortly." the service appears to be running: ● emby-server.service - Emby Server is a personal media server with apps on just about every device. Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/emby-server.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: active (running) since Wed 2018-07-25 09:12:00 EDT; 1s ago Main PID: 13323 (EmbyServer) Tasks: 7 (limit: 4915) CGroup: /system.slice/emby-server.service └─13323 /opt/emby-server/system/EmbyServer -programdata /var/lib/emby -ffmpeg /opt/emby-server/bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /opt/emby-server/bin/ffprobe -restartexitcode 3 -u Jul 25 09:12:00 emby systemd[1]: Started Emby Server is a personal media server with apps on just about every device..
Luke 42077 Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Can you please attach the emby server log? thanks.
Spames 2 Posted July 25, 2018 Author Posted July 25, 2018 It keeps making new log files every few seconds, it seems. logs.zip
Spames 2 Posted July 25, 2018 Author Posted July 25, 2018 I just purged it with dpkg and re-installed/reconfigured. Seems OK as of now.
Luke 42077 Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 Ok, the unhanded errors in your log were related to the dvr schedule. I was going to give you a one time fix you could do to stop it from happening but if you reinstall then you're good to go at this point. I will make sure this is resolved for the next release, thanks.
