convert permissions

Hi,

 

I believe giving someone the ability "allow media conversion" let's them choose, "convert to original folder, replacing original file" - even if they do not have permission to delete files from library. You can see how this could be dangerous, someone can convert to horribly low bitrates and overwrite the original high quality file...  so my questions are:

 

1) is this a correct assessment?

2) is this the intended behaviour?

3) is there some permissioning that I'm missing to restrict choice to same folder but different file name?

Hi, these are good points but we don't have these types of choices right now. This is definitely something that could be added though. Thanks !
