Convert Local User to Synced Emby Connect User

I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong place but I didn't know where else to really put this. I figured I'd put it here because it's a server issue and I'm running on Ubuntu.

 

I recently started implementing emby connect users on my server and I noticed that the passwords are synced with the user's cloud emby connect account. I would much prefer this implementation over me having to manually manage each users password via the dashboard.However, I have a number of local accounts already on my account already. Is there anyway for me to convert these accounts to emby cloud synced accounts so that I no longer have to manage their passwords? Follow up question, would connecting an emby connect account to the local accounts and setting a random password allow users to log in with their emby connect password?

If you connect them to an emby connect account then yes they will be able to login with their emby connect credentials. Keep in mind they can still login with their local credentials as well.
