The function I want: For example, the movie title: Transformers 4 When we enter "King Kong" when searching, Transformers 1, Transformers 2, Transformers 3, Arhat King Kong, King Kong: Skull Island, King Kong, etc. will be listed for selection. At present, if you enter "King Kong", only movies with the full name King Kong will be displayed, and nothing else will be displayed. thanks.

It will won't match partial words yet, but with the 4.9 release it has taken a step further by being able to match either word as opposed to requiring both.

adminExitium 355 Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 @LukeJust for your reference, now that the default search queries are fast enough, you should be able to add this functionality properly with these 2 SQLite features: https://www.sqlite.org/fts5.html#porter_tokenizer https://www.sqlite.org/spellfix1.html#configurable_edit_distance Should be relatively straightforward additions whenever you get around to it. 2
adminExitium 355 Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 And for ideal edit distances, this may be useful reading: https://www.meilisearch.com/docs/learn/relevancy/typo_tolerance_settings#minwordsizefortypos Quote one typo for query terms containing five or more characters, and up to two typos if the term is at least nine characters long Quote recommend keeping the value of oneTypo between 2 and 8 characters and the value of twoTypos between 4 and 14 characters
