flyingfufu 0 Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 Hello, After installing server version 3.5.0.0, I tried to read some file from the "trailer" folder over DLNA on my Dune HD Solo 4K unit. Doing so, I always get an error message stating that there is an optimization error as the file is not a mp4 format file. However, downloading the file frome internet and reading it directly, I plays without any issue. Looking in the logs I don't understand why I get this error since it seems that the output stream is the same as the input one... I therefore tried to play with custom profile, but I must admit that I'm lost.... I've look on the web to find either instruction on how to create them properly or one to downlad, but so far, I was not successful. Any help would be appreciated. flyingfufu 0 Posted July 22, 2018 Author Posted July 22, 2018 I found out that the custom profile was not found and associated. After some test I could get this to work by putting only one identificator (instead of all available). As a result, I don't have the error message anymore, and the trailer play through, but now the issue is that I have no sound not image (only a black screen). So far, I could not identify why... If someone has a tip... Regards,
Luke 42077 Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Hi, what is the sound format being output by Emby Server? Does your Dlna device support this?
flyingfufu 0 Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 Hi Luke, downloading the file from http://trailers.apple.com/movies/universal/jurassic-world-fallen-kingdom/jurassic-world-fallen-kingdom-trailer-3_h480p.mov (used in for my tests) and playing it directly on my Dune device works well. No issue whatsoever... Trying to play the file over DNLA from EMBY result in a black screen... Looking in the server log, it says "No direct play profiles found for Path". However, I created a customized profile for it, but obviously, it seems I did it wrong. Looking on the site and on the net, I couldn't find more felp and suitable info on how to create those profiles, therefore I'm stuck, despite numerous changes and tests. Attached, the server log extract, the dnla log from the last test and the xml from my profile. Any guidance to move forward will be appreciated. Best regards, Dune HD Solo 4K.xml emby log.txt ffmpeg-directstream-8408a9b8-2346-41aa-9572-c69f8ae2d7e9.txt
Luke 42077 Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 What about just video files in your library? It's probably best to start with more simple examples. thanks.
flyingfufu 0 Posted August 4, 2018 Author Posted August 4, 2018 Hello, After extensive tests, I'm now able to play the files over DNLA, even if transcoding is required. I'm sure I will still have one or the other for which I will have to further adjust the config file. To get it to work, I've changed the transcoding from mkv to ts file for the video. However, all could be perfect, but I'm not able to control the speed ot change chapters... I can only play, pause or stop the file. Any idea why this could be ? Also, is it possible to force the transcode of TRUEHD Audio to AC3 easily ? If yes, any tip on how to achive this ? Best regards,
Luke 42077 Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 To do that, TrueHD will have to be removed from DirectPlayProfiles so that it's not considered supported. Then it will be transcoded.
