Player Gestures

I don't know about others but I have never used/wanted to use the gestures built into the video player (swipe up/down on the sides of the video for volume/brightness). That's what the volume buttons and brightness slider in the tray are for. I have however hit it accidentally which overrides the system brightness settings, usually when laying in bed just before I go to sleep :/

 

Can we have an option in playback settings to enable/disable this at our discretion?
