ross87 12 Posted August 18, 2018 Author Posted August 18, 2018 I'll be playing a series and all of a sudden an episode will stop playing and I will have to click on it again to get it to continue where it stopped.
Luke 42078 Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 @@Angelblue05 there must be something in the kodi log to indicate why the player stopped, no?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 (edited) Sorry I wasn't able to reply sooner. I've checked the log, everything looks fine to me. If it's still happening and you don't have that issue in the webclient, then I think something is up with your Kodi setup itself. Might be work trying a clean setup, back up your add-ons and databases, test playback with a fresh install (add a single video and try). If it works, then try to restore, if it breaks again, then it's likely an add-on that's interfering. However I do not see any errors regarding emby in your log (with the exception of how it shuts down). Sorry I can't be more help. Edited August 20, 2018 by Angelblue05
ross87 12 Posted August 20, 2018 Author Posted August 20, 2018 Thank you both @@Luke and @@Angelblue05 for your help with this. I may have resolved this as I haven't had any outages or issues since 18th. So far it is looking like as expected it wasn't an Emby issue. Homeplugs (powerlines adaptors) are used to connect my whole network together. Just as a trial I have moved the server from being connected on another floor, to be sat next to the router and networked directly. So far I have not had any outages (though they only seemed to happen every so often), so I am hoping this may have resolved the issue. Thanks again for all your assistance, it is greatly appreciated. 1
Angelblue05 4132 Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Glad you found the issue and things are working again. Great info, thanks for letting us know
ross87 12 Posted August 24, 2018 Author Posted August 24, 2018 I unfortunately think I got my hope up too soon. Everything had worked fine for 4 days and now the issue has reared its ugly head again. I've attached a log from Kodi. Is there anything obvious that stands out in this log as to the issue? Thanks in advance. kodi.log
ross87 12 Posted August 29, 2018 Author Posted August 29, 2018 So I'm still having the issue despite being connected directly to the router, so that seems to rule out the homeplugs / powerlines as the issue. I've attached my most recent error log - any ideas @@Luke and @@Angelblue05 ? kodi.log
