Damob9k 2 Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 Hi, I've just updated Emby server to 3.5.0.0 and have noticed that my server dashboard shortcuts no longer work. I have a shortcut on my server and main desktop PC (neither are used to watch stuff on) which was pointing to : http://localhost:8096/web/dashboard.html (localhost replaced with the ip on my desktop PC) And this was working fine before 3.5.0.0 But now it loads, then re-directs to http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8096/emby/web/index.html#!/home.html- the home page of my media collections. I see that the new address for the dashboard is http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8096/emby/web/index.html#!/dashboard.html, but if I make a static desktop shortcut to this, it just re-directs to the media home page again ! Oddly, if I have my browser open (Opera 54.0) and launch the above address from the speed dial, it does go to the dashboard ! This is not a major issue, but it's a bit of an annoyance as I just want to be able to go straight to the server dashboard page when launching from my server or my main PC as I only generally use these for maintenance and tweaking. Any ideas ? Cheers DamoB
Luke 42079 Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 Hi, that's strange. The tray icon has a shortcut to jump right to the server dashboard. does that work?
Damob9k 2 Posted July 17, 2018 Author Posted July 17, 2018 Hi Luke, I run Emby server as a service ... so no tray icon. But most of the time i access emby dashboard from my main PC. Cheers Damob
Luke 42079 Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 Ok, in my testing, this seems to work fine: http://localhost:8096/web/index.html#!/dashboard.html
Damob9k 2 Posted July 17, 2018 Author Posted July 17, 2018 hmm, very odd then Luke ... I just tried it with Opera, Edge and Internet Destroyer, and it does the same in all 3 ! I've tried setting the homepage to Nothing (i don't think that this settings has any effect loading of the initial page ?) but either way it doesn't make any difference. I have another play, maybe try it not running as a service, not sure that will have any effect tho ! It's no biggy, I'll just have to do one extra click Cheers Damob
