Cad 0 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Hi - I just did a fresh install of Windows 7. I created a Windows Admin profile and a User profile (without admin rights). I then logged into the User Profile and install Media Browser server. The issue is that when I reboot my computer and log back into the Windows User profile Media Browser Server doesn't boot up. I have to run the server.exe file again to start the server. However, if I log into my Windows Admin profile Media Browser boots up automatically within that profile. Is it possible to have it automatically start on reboot when I log into my Windows User profile? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

tsanga 0 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Just copy the shortcut from the Admin user's Start up folder to the normal user's one. I tried this but when I log into the normal user's account, I get a UAC prompt (something about hard drive access) and if I provide the admin password, the MB3 server shortcut gets deleted from the normal user's startup folder.
ebr 16179 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 The server is going to install to the admin account and needs to run under that authority. If you want it to run regardless of user account, set it up as a service.
