Server FR - calculate available bandwidth

Looking for ability to calculate available server bandwidth. So

I can set maximal available for quality without constantly changing back and forth.

 

Also, if some sort of calculation could be provided to show estimated total data transfer to watch selected movie/show at selected bitrate (to avoid blowing data caps). This could be optional to be displayed. Or even in the webclient next to the bitrate to show a MB/hr calculation as well.

I really think this would be cool and extremely helpful!
I started playing tv shows from my phone and it's quickly ate up my data usage. I've learnt my lesson now but having the knowledge of data usage especially when streaming music on a daily basis would be great to know.

If those stats could be reported back to the MB user account that would be awesome!

Being able to set quota's on streaming for user accounts would be icing on the cake..

I've missed this ability too. While some of this could be achieved through third party apps, having the ability to keep tab on resources being spent, from within the server interface; comes off as practical for various reasons. For me it's about the possibility to plan ahead. As friends and family are gradually added,I foresee a need to upgrade the link. Basically, it's about control. One can argue this goes against the simplicity of the prevailing interface, but if one sees further ahead in time, it's not unlikely that a group of users would want more control and customizability. Although, this could be a paid feature. Just a thought
